Just a quick note, the the widget developer is having some problems. Hopefully, he will have his service up and running soon.

I'll be looking for a substitute. The problem with most IM's are that they are not really private. We'll find something, but it might take somme time.

We're trying to find something. It's affecting all the groups on ning and some groups lost lots of widgets (that they paid for). It's something that Ning Creators did because the people who made the Widgets violated the TOS (and they won't say what happened). All I known is that they had a "bug in the infrastructure" and the system was down until they fixed it. It was probably Widget Laboratory that was the bug they referred to. Reminds me of eons when they changed the rules and people got angry. Anyway, Garooch and the Ning Creators are trying to find another third party widget to replace the one we and other sites had.

That's cool. I don't think you were far from me. I'm in
Seattle, but I'm new here and have never been to Spokane.
My oldest is visiting from Colorado Springs. She wanted to
see my one and only grandchild who arrived in June.

Mr G aka Garooch took the chat feature off when he started the IM one. I don't remember if it was from the same Widget Lab. We had to sign in and it was a pain. I like the IM better since it's private and you get to talk to people like you are having a conversation. Some of the chat rooms were very slow (I think the first one we had was like that). We will see what they come up with.

I agree with you. Thereb is still a chat room in the party room on Irony Plus, but you have to register to use it.

I seen who was on the chat and never got to chat, but that is okay, b/c I think I should have signed up for it or something. It just wasn't too clear on how to use it, and then one day someone IM'd me, and I was surprised by that. Just gotta figure out all these "nics" and crannies'..LOL
