We all know there is an ass load of info on the coming election on the web. I go to maybe 50 or so political sites each day. Some of those sites three or four times a day. It's time consuming. So I've tried to find a way to make getting info quicker and for me more organized.
I've tried stuff like "PageFlakes" and Netvibes but I couldn't personalize them enough. I wanted my own News Aggragater. If you look above and left you will see that "create your own social network" pimp. And using that social network roll your own I created my own news aggragater. Using 10 RSS feeds, and choosing and changing the pulled content I can pretty much tell the political buzz of the day by glancing at one page.
Depending on how fancy and feature heavy you want to make it you can easily set it up in 15 minutes to half an hour. Just know the RSS feeds of the content you want to pull and your good to go. And you have your on news page.
The basic service is free, but I did go a little premium for a little more real estate.
I'm not looking for anyone to join it now, and if I wanted to drive traffic somewhere, it would be my blog. So have a look here and you'll see what I mean.
Thanx Razor. That's worth looking into. I'm a news hound and get most my news online, but I'd also like to receive election news more efficiently. I'll give 'er a try.
