Under relationship status I see "It's complicated". What does that mean? How complicated can it be? You are either married or you are not. You are single or you are not. You are in a relationship or you are not.
Does 'It's complicated' mean you are married and looking? Married and shouldn't be on the internet? Unsure whether the SO in your relationship is looking around?
I think it could be a code word for *come play with me or at least come talk with me*, just becasue I'm married doesn't mean that I won't talk with members of the oposite sex or (lol) whatever. I like the choice. No doubt it is a code word and a nice one it is.
maybe you are better off the way it is, we have one of our older sons who has been married and is in a relationship right now with a very nice gal whom he has had a son with, I'm not going to encourage them to get married cause both times he was married before the complexion of their relationship changed completely, and I wouldn't want him to lose the gal he's with now. told them both "I'd rather see you happy than married"
I chose single because I hate feeling forced to put divorced on forms when that happened in 1979! Come on, I've been single so long it has to outweigh a situation from my distant past!
However, I do love the single/divorced options from Barbara! Could I have the option 'Alone with pets and like the peace it affords, but sometimes wish there was a like-minded human around with whom to talk and relax.'

Complicated in my case means being in limbo. Currently separated. Want a divorce but husband is living with girlfriend and won't allow the divorce to proceed because he said he is not sure what he wants. I can tell him what I want and that is never to be back together with him but he just won't allow this to proceed. So, I live with my two young adult children who hate their father and I am unable to get on with my life. One of us has to set a decent example for our kids.
