I am interested in the aspect of manipulating photos to imitate art. I love all the different effects you can get from one photo. Here are a few shots of a pansy that I played with in Photoshop.

I love the effects! I also like to play with photos. I don't have photoshop yet, so I'm limited in what I can do.

I was able to do a cartoon effect to an old photo of my daughter using photobucket's new editing software. You can also add frames and even make posters.

yes, that is very cool! All photo-editing programs have some effects you can play with! Just be creative!

Picassa has some good features for this. I'm using PhotoPlus, which also has some good features. I'l try to post some tomorrow.

I used Picassa to edit the hostas.

these are beautiful, Garooch! The original was awesome to begin with, and the different effects are very cool!

Most of the effects are automatic within the program. However you can tweek the effects a bit. They can make an ordinary pic interesting.
