Creating Photo Albums

If you are like me, you have probably uploaded lots of photos - including personal family shots or photos found on the internet. If you want to separate your photos into different categories and/or create a slideshow of specific photos to post in the gallery of this group, you can create albums to keep all your photos separate.

CREATING AN ALBUM:
1. Go into Photos
2. Go to My Albums
3. Click on "Create an Album"
4. A page called "Make an Album" will open: you will see all your posted photos on the left and an empty space on the right.
5. Name your album and give it a description if you like.
6. Drag any photos you want in that album from the left side into the right.
7. SAVE your album (important!)
7. Create as many albums as you like

SLIDESHOW:: to post a photo slideshow in the gallery of this group:
1. Go to the bottom of any page in the right hand corner to "Get More Badges"
2. The page that opens will be "Badges and Widgets"
3. Go halfway down the page to "Widgets" and you'll see "Photo Slideshow"
4. Go to "Select Source" and click on the drop down menu
5. When it opens you will see options, which should include your newly created albums
6. Click on the album you want to appear in the gallery
7. Keep the size at medium
8. Copy the embedded HTML code and copy it into the gallery.

If you've already posted a slideshow in the gallery but want to change it to display a specific album you've created, you will need to delete the old one and then use the same steps above to copy and paste the correct album you want to display.

By the way, you can use the same process to display a photo slideshow on your main page - and you can use a different album than the one you posted here. Once you have copied the embedded HTML code, got to "My Page" and find the photo area in the far left column, about half way down.

Hope this helps you create an album and display only the photos you want to display here or on your page.

I'm lucky I didn't become a librarian. I'm not organized like you! I have so many photos and can't find them when I want them. My whole life is cluttered too.

That's good to know too! I didn't know they only play 50 pics. I'll have to divide my album up.
