Here's three pix I got recently of natural ice sculptures. They happen when the ground begins to freeze, which pushes water up along stems in swirling figures. These things are beautiful and so delicate that if you touch them, they crumble. I think they are fascinating, and only a few people have ever seen them, because you have to be out in the woods when it's below freezing. At least, I've never seen one outside of hardwood forests.
