NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A man protesting the further expansion of London's Heathrow Airport really tried to make his point stick.
Dan Glass is a member of an organization called Plane Stupid and was actually receiving an award from British Prime Minister Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street on Tuesday, July 22.
The BBC reports that when Glass was shaking Brown's hand, he put his other hand, which was covered with glue on the Prime Minister's jacket sleeve and held it there.
Glass is quoted as saying, "I just glued myself to him and after 20 seconds he tore my hand off - it really hurt. He had to give it a couple of tugs before it came away." A spokesman for the Prime Minister said, however, that there "was no stickiness of any significance."
After Glass exited the building, he tried to glue himself to the gates, but was stopped.
