I helped a poodle mixed with terrier get back together with it's owner on Saturday last week. Boy, did that feel good! One of the neighbors was walking down my street and asked me if I knew anybody who lost their dog. This precious litle dog had a pink sparkley collar and a blue leash. Our mailman, Joe,liked the dog and the dog liked him.
Joe thought about taking her home for a couple of days. That same night a lady came by and was a bout to put up a lost dog sign. I had taken a picture of the puppy to show people walking by my house to see if they knew anybody who lost their dog. I called my neighbor and that's when she told me Joe took the dog home because she didn't have a fenced in yard. I have Joe's email address and sent him a message. Joe came by on Saturday and the lady wasn't home so he took "Princess" to the neighbor. Later in the day dog & owner got back together. It seems the puppy's owner an elderly gentleman took her for a walk and the dog got away from him. She hid in the bushes and took off running. He couldn't chase her because of his health. Thank the Lord nothing happpened to "Princess" and my neighbor took her in. Puppy's have guardian angels too!!

Comment by MotleyMe on April 13, 2008 at 1:34am - That reminds me of the chihuahua I got for my 11th birthday. I wanted a pekingese because of the ones in the cartoons. You know, you couldn't tell one end from the other? Smokey was a good girl, but she always loved my mom more than me! LOL!

I grew up with a black chihuahua...his name was Pee Wee ! He lived to be 18 years old. He had strokes, my mom had him on heart medicine, etc.
On year we were at the Salt 'n Sea and my mom was in the water and she was saying "help" just kidding around and that little dog went running to save her...he almost drown doing so!
He was a cutie!
