No Paws Left Behind is a non-profit organization that works with homeowners in foreclosure to find temporary or permanent homes for their companion animals. Pets are being left behind at the foreclosed properties. Outdated laws state that the abandoned animals cannot be removed without an eviction of personal property, which means many will starve to death before the legal hurdles are spanned.
