There is no Devil, and there is no one man who can embody all evil. Nothing will improve as long as we continue to place the blame on any one man, organization, or nation. We must recognize that the problem lies in the nature of mankind. It is a purely human condition that will only be overcome through honest and objective personal introspection by the masses who then free themselves from the separatist notions of religious dogma..."

They feel a restless longing for something better, something more personal, something more pure–a Higher Good..."

Yes! I've been saying this for years! There is good and evil in all people. We just have to decide which one we want to "go with" and which part we want to repress. It is also why I claim to be a "spiritual person" but not a "religious person."

An old Cherokee tale best captures the true struggle of the human disposition:
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said: “My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
“One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, bigotry, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.
“The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The grandson thought for a minute and asked: “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee replied: “The one you feed.”
