Sound not Sight
I had lived in the same rental house for 10 years and so many things had happened in my life during that time.
Both of my cats went to the Rainbow Bridge while I was living there and Annie, who was a bit on the large side, would walk from the bedroom to the den area numerous times a day. There was a place on the floor that would creak as she walked through.
After her passing, about 4 months later, I started hearing that creak in the the floor although no one was there. At first I was a little spooked by it, but came to always say hi to Annie whenever I heard it. I knew her spirit was with me...even if it was a little noisy!

NOW THAT IS A GOOD ONE, usually our pets or animals appear in the apparition of sight or sign along with a person who is diseased and they appear back with that person in a sighting or dream.
I will have another story of such a pet of mine but that is another story. Yours was a good one.
