Why is it a buttered or buttered and jellied slice of bread always falls so the goop hits the floor? Well, I know the correct question should be why am I so clumsy, but that is for another post.

Back to the jelly. I am sure the answer has to do with physics. Or something. But I always get this sneaking suspicion that the Universe is out to get me. Is there some statistical report somewhere showing just how often the marmalade hits the marble?
