The Music of the Spheres

Earth gives off a relentless hum of countless notes completely imperceptible to the human ear, like a giant, exceptionally quiet symphony, but the origin of this sound remains a mystery.

Now unexpected powerful tunes have been discovered in this hum.

The planet emanates a constant rumble far below the limits of human hearing. This sound, first discovered a decade ago, is one that only scientific instruments — seismometers — can detect. Researchers call it Earth's hum.

Investigators suspect this murmur could originate from the churning ocean, or perhaps the roiling atmosphere.

The Earth's hum. I wonder if it knows 'Melancholy Baby'? Hmmmmmmm.

Everything vibrates...I don't think the hum comes from the oceans or atmosphere but from the whole earth's vibration.

Three years ago, I had what I believe was a near-death experience, and during this experience, I was aware of background 'music' that was the most beautiful I had ever known, and I had encountered nothing like it before, or since. The closest I can come to describing it is the sound of "om". Even this pales, but it's the only sound I have found that can approach it. It was like resonating, a vibration, that struck a very definite chord, and brought with it unmatchable peace, unbelievable tranquility: a total absence of anxiety and a sense of timelessness. Maybe this was actually Earth's Hum?

It's amazing how many people have near death experiences... many with similar stories. However I don't remember hearing any with the music element. It makes sense that the experiences are all a bit different.
