About Me:

Alright...I'm in transit from Eons...so I'll be in and out over the next few weeks. Glad to see so many of my Eons buddies showing up here as well. !!

I was born in Ohio, but grew up in Arizona, married and raised my children in the Valley of the Sun.

When I turned 40, I traveled to Russia, where I worked and lived for nearly a year. Upon my return to the US, I opened my own company, which was very successful in marketing and sales, until after the loss of my beloved husband in 97 and all my priorities changed.

After 8 years of feeling like I'd been pulled out of the ground by the roots, I decided life wasn't waiting for me, so I best get to it. In the middle of a planned move to San Diego, I made a trip to Juneau to visit my grandbabies and discovered my tropical paradise was a bit further north than La Jolla!

I liquidated everything, quit my secure job and shipped my keepsakes north while carrying my dog and my father's guitar in my hands. What made it really interesting was that I fractured my ankle, not once but twice in the same year, so the move was made in a cast and I'm only now beginning to learn to walk again.

You want challenge? Try 18 feet of snow in 3 months with a bum leg. LOL I love Juneau. It's been a bit lonely, but the friends I have made are the real deal here. Nothing superficial about Alaskans. What you see is exactly what you are gonna get. RE: those odd goods? Mostly those I have met are independent spirits, in all shapes, sizes and attitudes, with a lot of heart.

Activities

It would have to include secluded stretches of white beaches, azure blue saltwater, fantastic food and a special person to share the solitude with. Lots of sleeping, long walks, conversation and passion.
