- My name is Herman Ortiz, a native New Yorker Puerto-Rican, now a Retired Bean Counter.
At home we only spoke Spanish since my mother did not know any English.
Parents came from the mountainous region, (town of Jayuya) of Puerto Rico to NYC in 1917.
I was born in Spanish Harlem, and at age 10 my father (an Engineer) bought a town-house (a Brownstone as best known in NYC) in The Bronx.
Worked in most South American Countries for companies such as The Gillette Company & Johnson & Johnson for over 20 years.
Last assignment entailed spending many months in Europe, principally Paris, London, Belgium, Madrid, Amsterdam, and Zurich.

Divorced - but living with Ex-wife, and have 3 children with 5 grandchildren
